Stories at Earth Saviours Foundation, Gurgaon on 17th December, 2015

Earth Saviours Foundation invited Storyteller Jaishree to the “Gurukul” at Gurgaon where the homeless find a resort. Stories pepped their mood and rekindled some fond memories.








Stories at Earth Saviours Foundation (17th October, 2014)

Founded in 2008 by Ravi Kalra, a well-known karma yogi,    social activist and environmentalist, The Earth Saviours    Foundation is an internationally recognized NGO, situated in Delhi that serves less privileged people and also make efforts to preserve the environment. On 17th October, 2014, Story Ghar visited the foundation to cheer up and motivate its selfless and dedicated staff and volunteers. The storytelling session followed by games and songs was an interactive experience for the volunteers that lit up their faces with smile, hope and positivity.


Stories For The Elderly (1st October, 2014)

On the felicitous day of 1st       October, Story Ghar reached out to elderly people and delivered stories to celebrate the joy of  International Day for Older      Persons. Storyteller, Jaishree  gave a solo theatrical           presentation of the  story, Giving Tree, a parable on the joy of giving. The idea was to        appreciate the    contributions that older people make to their  family and society. The heart-touching rendering made the audience relive their childhood; People were moved by the story that brought tears in their eyes







Storytelling Workshop at Deepalaya School, Haryana (15th May, 2014)

Story Ghar conducted a day long workshop with children at Deepalya school, Haryana. The workshop was sponsored by Miracle Foundation. The modules revolved around Emotional Intelligence and Conflict Management.  The modules were  designed to help kids deal with aggression, anti-social behavior, bullying and to resolve conflict effectively. The objective was to encourage children to open up and express their emotions. The children were given worksheets in which they resolved conflict situations through story boards and story writing. The younger boys especially were very vocal about their feelings and emotions. The session led them on a nostalgic trip and brought out their deep rooted fears and anxiety. Overall, the kids had an enriching session and  learned to cope with issues of conflict.







Martin Luther King , Jr. Day celebration at Teen Murti Bhawan (20th January, 2014)

Teen Murti Bhawan invited Story Ghar to become a part of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day celebrations. The musicians, Tarang Mongia, and Vibhor Mathur  filled the air with musical  and rhythmical notes and made every one sing the legendary slogan given  by the humanitarian leader Martin Luther King, Jr.







Communication skills workshop at Harijan Basti, Lodi Road (27th October, 2013)

Story Ghar returned to Harijan Camp with a special module on effective communication and appropriate use of body language. Participants not only heard story but expressed and unfolded their dreams too.

 Good communication skills help connect with the world and sell ideas. An enterprising child no matter where he lives, city or village can go to good heights with fine skills to communicate.

Through the workshop children got to Introspect and realize their feeling and articulate the same. In the end they felt confident in expressing themselves.

Stories  at Rotary Club, Delhi (July 2013)

Stories construct a  deep emotional bond between the teller and the listeners. Stories reach out to all ages.  Story Ghar saw Members   of Rotary Club of Indraprastha,  Okhla  feeling one with stories. Through the session, various emotions played on their  minds. Tears and smiles together made the atmosphere alive.






Storytelling Show at Harijan Basti ( 14th July,2013)

Ektara Foundation invited STORY GHAR to  perform for the children living in the Harijan Basti , Lodhi Road, New Delhi.  Children laughed and interacted  during the session and participated in the fun filled follow up activities with vigor and enthusiasm.




Story Performance at India Habitat Centre for the Celiac Society for Delhi : 22/12/12

The Celiac Society for Delhi organized the ‘Annual Gluten-Free Evening 2012’, at India Habitat Centre, where Story Ghar put up its story tent. Children aged between 5-10 developed the emotion of empathy towards tree and realized how mankind was exploiting nature through the story The Giving Tree.



Story Time at Teen Murti Bhawan : August, 2012


The mountain heard when the bird spoke, the tree felt happy when Raju asked for fruits and Chanter found his way to Bremen Town. The mental images come alive when Story Ghar told stories at Teen Murti Bhavan, New Delhi on the 16th, 17th and 18th August 2012.

Story Ghar successfully enthralled the diverse audiences. There were young adults from Chetna NGO, who beautifully drew story images. Girls from Nav Jyoti Foundation came up with witty answers to critical story plots. Stu-dents from Great Montessori school sang along.

Story Ghar’s performance was a part of Jashn E Azadi, organized by Children Resource centre, Teen Murti Bhavan to celebrate the 66th Independence day.




Storytelling sessions in Juvenile home, Lajpat Nagar, Delhi (August & September 2012)


Stories found their way to children’s hearts at Kasturba Niketan, Lajpat Nagar. These children were homeless and living in conflict. Idea was to instill values and hope through stories without sounding too preachy.
